With manufacturer plates. It looks like an A3. Probably a 2016.
You can’t see them in the picture, but it has two exhaust pipes down on the left side. This is the only picture I could get. As soon as we cleared the intersection, he gunned it. I got along side it for a second at the next light, but he was in a turn lane and I couldn’t get a picture.
Up front, it had the Audi logo on the hood. In the space for the front license plate, there was a plate that said “Audi USA” or “Audi America” (I forget exactly which). No other badges, or even a hint that it ever had any other identification bolted to it.
Any clue as to why it has no badge but has manufacturer plates? I find it odd because I saw that out of place camouflaged Q5 down here a while back.

What’s Audi doing down here?

I’m pretty sure Nissan does not care about camouflage on their vehicles. Me and my friends have seen vehicles before they released many times. The NV almost a year before it was released and the single cab Titan 2 weeks prior.

I would guess that it is some kind of test mule for under skin tweaks. Why bother putting A3 badges on when it is not really an A3?

They’re releasing the euro-bro stance-ready edition. Why bother putting badges on it when they’re just going to be pulled off for that sick sleeper look, right?

Those are the pre-facelift taillights, this is the 2017:
Looking at the pics, at least on the 2017, the TDI pictured here has a single muffler on the driver side vs. the 2.0T has dual mufflers.
So...TDI testing?
Or it could just be an Audi employee whose personal vehicle happens to be a debadged A3 TDI.

The pre 17 A3's had a single exhaust system.

It’s just weird.
